How confident are you that companies are switching from toxic to less toxic? Is there enough information about the chemicals they're using as replacements? Also, I've noticed Skin Deep info. can be very dated ie. olive oil? I'd love to use Skin Deep as my most reliable source however I'm not sure it entirely is.

Shelly, Skin Deep is updated every three months -- which is VERY often, especially considering how big a project it is with our small staff.

And, since each product and ingredient has both a hazard score and a data gap score, you can see exactly how much we know about new ingredients as they're added. Useful, eh?

I started an internet business Organic Living For Life because I had gotten very ill with uterine fibroids. I was literally on deaths bed when it finally discharged using just essential oils. I have researched my products and have more I can recommend. especially the company that saved my life (since a hysterectomy was not an option for me). The Miessence products are wonderful. All consumers need to let their voices be heard that we will not buy products from companies that deceive us and cause harm. Toxic chemicals which are carcinogenic or cause reproductive damage do not belong in our products and we as consumers should not promote these companies by purchasing their products.

I've been using and selling Miessence, which I find to be one of the best out there, but there are also other companies that I love - Terressentials Aubrey Organics, and Alaska Glacial Mud Company. When I have Miessence parties - I bring products with me from these other companies as well. My main goal is to let people know which companies have integrity and will back up the safety of their products by signing the Compact For Safe Cosmetics.

Also, want to mention that I love the Skin Deep database and I use it multiple times a day - it's the best resource out there and it's a great accomplishment for all who put it together and continue to keep it updated - thanks for all you do to keep us informed.
