Corn. Corn. And yes, more corn.
In case you missed the movie King Corn (if you did you should see it, and not just because EWG's Founding President Ken Cook is in it), take 2 minutes and 17 seconds to get the gist of our country's corn craziness.
As you'll soon see, the stuff is everywhere. you. turn. Then look in the mirror.
And if you want to know WHY, this might help.
THANKS for spreading the word about this! As someone allergic to corn, I feel STRONGLY about this -- and feel that far too many people don't realize just how prevalent corn is in our society!
Thank you for this great info, I never know about this until I saw this video. In the video it's very clear how widely corn is being use. But this corns should be consume in balance.
Thanks for this post and video! I have become increasingly aware of corn-based ingredients in foods and trying to reduce the amount I consume. It's a wonder how much corn the average American consumes in one day.
The video mentioned fossil fuel use in the production of corn additives, and another source of fossil fuel energy source is coal. We know it's dirty, and it's about time to look for a better alternative that doesn't harm health or pollute the atmosphere. For those of you in the Chapel Hill area, feel free to check out Sierra Club's Coal-free UNC campaign (click url). It's an effort to pressure UNC-Chapel Hill to move completely away from Coal before 2050. Also, there will be a rally to address Chancellor Thorp tomorrow! Check it out! http://bit.ly/45CXRg
